Headstone Configuration Options

  1. Headstone Type Selection: Allows customers to choose between different headstone types:

  2. Headstone Style Selection: Customers can select from a variety of headstone styles:

  3. Headstone Shape Selection: Provides options for the shape of the headstone:

Finish and Base Customization

  1. Headstone Finish Options: Customers can select the finish for the headstone:
    1. Polished front
    2. Polished front and back
    3. Polished front, back, and one side (top, left, or right)
    4. All sides polished
  2. Base Customization Options: Options for the headstone base include:
    1. Polished margin-top
    2. Polished top

Vase Combination Selection

  1. Vase Configuration: Customers can choose to add vase combinations:
    1. Single vase
    2. Double vase (for double headstones)
    3.  Triple vase (for double headstones)
    4. Vase styles include turned or tapered, available in various sizes and finishes.
    5. Vases are added by toggling the vase option in the configurator.

Customization Features

  1. Text and Image Customization
    1. Allows customers to add text and images to the headstone.
    2. Provides the option to upload custom images for conversion into laser-etched memorials (specific to black granite).
  2. Cameo and Epitaph Customization: Customers can add a cameo or epitaph to the memorial:
    1. Cameo options include a range of styles and sizes.
    2. Epitaphs are customizable, with size options of quarter, half, or full (relative to the size of the epitaph on the headstone).
    3. Epitaph customization includes a selection from a range of monument typefaces.

Finalize and Share Design

Sharing and Downloading Design
Objective: Offer customers an easy way to share and finalize their headstone design.

Features:

  1. PDF Proof Download: Customers can download a PDF proof of the headstone design. The PDF includes details about the stone, such as item numbers for images and text, to facilitate discussion and decision-making.
  2. Email Option: This option allows you to email a copy of the design to the customer or a designated recipient. Emailing the design also initiates contact with our sales team for any further assistance or questions.
  3. Add to Cart and Checkout: Customers have the option to add their finalized headstone design to the cart and proceed to checkout directly on the website.

Post-Checkout Process

  1. Follow-Up by Monument Specialists: After checkout, our team of Monument Specialists will reach out to the customer.
  2. This follow-up aims to: Gather more detailed information about the monument. Discuss important details such as the delivery timeline and the intended location for the monument.

Customer Support and Satisfaction

  1. Objective: Ensure customer satisfaction and provide support throughout the finalization and delivery process.
  2. Features: Direct line of communication with Monument Specialists for personalized service.Assistance with any last-minute changes or additional customization needs.

This final step in the project scope log emphasizes customer convenience and support, ensuring a seamless transition from design to delivery for the 3D Headstone Configurator.

Known Issues 02/2024

Cart/Checkout/Data:
  • Cart info at checkout and on the payment page (too much data - how do we minimize what is shown)
  • How do we ensure data is passed to our vendor and production management? How do we test this?
  • Where will the print-ready file be stored (or located in the data transfer) for the production team?
Configurator:
  • There is no option to reverse images (when I use the designer to invert an image manually, it reverses the text when added, and trying to move the object is inverted, which is super confusing to the customer).
  • Remove drop shadow and outline (need CSS selectors to add display: none;) from selected options in configuration steps (style, finishes, etc)
  • still some wonky stuff on how the epitaph, etc. When I switch from full, half, etc the entire text i've typed goes away. The color switcher is really temperamental and only changes on one side if a double headstone is selected.

    • Order Received - image of piece of paper with the Headstone logo being handed to someone the piece of paper comes in off-campus, and the hand comes in the other side when receiving the paper it pulls it off campus to the right.
    • Headstone order started -animation should show a head, stone outline, and the head stone logo will be edged into the die. Maybe the dye shape can appear from the bottom and bounce in the place and then the Headstone logo can appear as if it’s being hatched into the head stone.
    • Head stone quality - animated image of the head stone, appearing from the bottom up with a circle and checkmark popping up on the top right corner with a Sunburst around it
    • Headstones ready for delivery - image of truck backing up from the left side of the canvas then an image of a head stone being dropped from the top onto the truck bed. Then the truck driving off to the left off campus.
