IMPORTANT FINISHING INFORMATION:

Headstone is not responsible for improper engraving or finishing techniques applied after purchase. We strongly recommend utilizing professional-grade engraving equipment and techniques. Inconsistent engraving and finishing can result from amateur methods. Natural variations such as veining, color shifts, and mineral deposits are inherent to our granite and are not considered defects.

PAYMENT OPTIONS

There are 3 ways you can place an order with us:

Order online with full payment
Order online with deposit payment of half up-front

Here's how you can pay:

Pay online with entering billing/shipping address through our site/app with Card or Third-party financing by Affirm

Pay online with Express Checkout that changes depending on the device/browser where it would show Apple Pay or Google Pay or if not then Link (by Stripe). They all support cards & checking account payments.

In-person Cash, Paper Check and Credit card machine

In-person could use the Affirm app to find our business then give us their card info for that loan (once approved after nationwide launch)

Pay via a monument specialist who would share our flexible payment link. Accepts cards, bank accounts, Cash App Pay, Google Pay, Apple Pay, Link (by Stripe) and Affirm (not our direct account just through Stripe)

Pay via a Check in the mail (referencing your order number)

SHIPPING & ORDER DETAILS

Shipping - Self-install

Self Installation

Installation is not included via online ordering. Contact us then we'll work with the cemetery/property owner to help with arranging professional installation and bill you separately. See the "We install" section below for more specifics on what we could help with.

It is crucial to engage a licensed professional for installation. Ensure compliance with all local regulations and cemetery requirements. While installation can be straightforward, it requires specific skills in masonry and finish carpentry besides the equipment to safely move it without damaging nearby property. You may need to adjust, level, and secure the monument during installation.

Shipment

Direct freight shipping is available online for most of the States although we will contact you after the order to confirm you understand the risks involved and that your shipping address is able to receive a truck shipment. Due to the size & weight of our monuments, your shipment will come via LTL shipping. If you are not familiar with this type of shipping, there are a few differences from a UPS or FedEx shipping company. The LTL company will call you the day before to schedule your delivery. You MUST schedule your appointment or your item will not be shipped. The LTL driver will provide what is called curbside delivery. They will not bring the item into your building. Please be prepared to receive the shipment, note any shipping related damage on the bill of lading, and bring the item to a safe location. If you opt to pick it up locally by someone besides yourself you will need to give us their name or business name to authorize them to sign release paperwork on your behalf as well as wait till we give you the pickup address and schedule a timeframe for us to have your order out & ready.

Headstone bases, benches and other accessories may be fulfilled separately and may ship at different times.

Turnaround Times

Standard production times if we have all materials in stock is 1-2 months. The more complex the order the longer it could take. Now if you request our Rush Manufacturing option, you'll be advised of alternative design options that could be produced faster + shortened production times to get you a custom timeframe. If not in stock then could be an additional 1-3 months depending on if we'll be importing your stone or not. See our Terms and Conditions for more details.

Shipping - We Install

Paid Installation

Installation is not included in online ordering. Contact us then we'll work with the cemetery/property owner to help with arranging professional installation and bill you separately. Specifically we'll:

verify the interment plot ownership & location with the cemetery
- we may also request the gravesite to be marked with a flag or similar
verify your design is compliant with the cemetery's rules & regulations and revise the design with you if not allowed
pay for & include any fees the cemetery may require
help submit any forms that the cemetery may require
- ensure the installer provides proof of insurance or other requirements to the cemetery/property owner
coordinate between the freight company and the cemetery/property owner/installer to receive our shipment
either utilize our internal installation team or hire a contracted installer if the cemetery doesn't offer their own installations

Order Processing/Verification

Any order in Florida has extra steps before processing payment:
- Verified with cemetery that meets their rules
- Contract signed by sales agent & sent to customer for eSigning
Online card payments will only place a hold on the card at first
- First we'll need to verify:
  - order is okay with the customer
  - if they have verified with cemetery themselves or want us to help with installation or cemetery verification
- then push the order through which will charge the card
Online payments via Affirm loans will have the orders stay on hold for up to 90 days (to stay pre-approved) if stone not in stock
- We'll order stone with supplier immediately since before pushing order through (the customer starts making payments with Affirm) we'll either
  - Have received their stone/items
  - Have official documents from supplier that it’s on the way
- After order “Processing” then could be another month or so till its delivered
Online payments through Express Checkout may not be on hold at first and any other payment methods besides checks won't be held as above either
Customers will be contacted by phone call, text and/or email for initial manual verification
Customers will get emails from our order management system after the order is manually verified, for proofing, etc.

Order Changes/Cancellation

As outlined in our Terms and Conditions, we don't offer cancellations or refunds which is why we take the extra effort to verify the order details before starting on it.

We will create proofs based on your initial design that will be exactly what's used to create your monument after your final approval. So make sure to share it with others who may be helping you decide and wait till you are sure before giving that approval.

You can still change the shipping address or if you want us to install it instead before we are done creating your monument but after it's completed then it may be too late for those changes.

If in Florida, there are specific rules on when the contract needs revised vs. a new contract to replace it so be prepared that we may need multiple eSignatures.
